Acid Redux reduces the pain of IBS because it is formulated to not only reduce stomach acid, but also to dissolve in the upper intestine where it reduces acid in the body's electrolytes (fluids). You probably already know the 'Acid Culprits'... coffee, red wine, citrus fruits, tomato dishes and juices and anything with vinegar in it. Our IBS users report that they take 1 Acid Redux tablet before eating/drinking anything that bothers them. They also take 1 tablet periodically throughout the day and a couple before bedtime to keep the acid levels in their body low. Note: you should not take more than 12 tablets per day because that would exceed the FDA's (US Food and Drug Administration's) recommended dosage for Calcium.
Acid Redux will not cure IBS (there is no known cure), but our customers do report that it will significantly reduce the pain associated with IBS.
